 Pastor James Ward

Thank you for visiting our website.  I want to share some information about my family, myself and my ministry. My wife, Donna, and I have been married since 1975. We have been blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Michelle. Jennifer has three children, Cambria, Hailee and Gabriel. Michelle and her husband, Jerry, have two children, Kaitlin and Reagan. God has blessed our family and for that we are grateful.

As regards to my ministry, I was saved when I was twelve. God called me to preach when I was sixteen. I graduated from Spring Garden High School, Spring Garden, Alabama, in 1967. I was drafted into the army in 1969, served in Vietnam and returned to my hometown, Piedmont, AL in 1971. I began pastoring my home church, Pleasant Arbor Baptist, Rock Run, AL in 1971. Over the past 40 years I have had the honor of serving five different churches as Senior Pastor. These include, Community Chapel Baptist, Rome, GA, Snow Springs Baptist, Adairsville, GA, East Side Baptist, Stockbridge, GA, and Brushy Knob Baptist church, Stockbridge, GA from 2006 to the present. My educational experiences include Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, AL, Immanuel Baptist Theological Seminary, Sharpsburg, GA, and Luther Rice Seminary, Lithonia, GA.
I have a deep love for people and want everyone to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I enjoy teaching and preaching the Bible. I have discovered it has the answer to all of life's problems.  If you have a spiritual need or questions, please call me at 678-592-5443.

Rev. Doug Lawson

Rev. Lawson and his wife, Mary Evelyn, are the parents of three children - Vicky Kordys, Doug Lawson, Jr., and Kevin Lawson. He has served in the capacity of Pastor, Associate Pastor, Minister of Music and Youth, and Administrator during his ministry at First Baptist Church, Lithia Springs, GA, Second Baptist Church, Forest Park, GA, First Baptist Church, Cordele, GA, Jefferson St. Baptist Church, Dublin, GA, First Baptist Church, Swainsboro, GA, Clairmont Hills Baptist Church, Decatur, GA. He has served First Baptist Church of Conley and Brushy Knob Baptist Church for 22 years.
